Elgin Schilhab holds a B.S. in Education with a major in mathematics and a M.A. in Mathematics Education from The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Schilhab has served as a classroom teacher for 12 years at Austin High School, as Supervisor of Mathematics in the Austin I.S.D. junior and senior high schools mathematics programs for more than 25 years, and an adjunct Mathematics Professor at the Austin Community College for more than 35 years. For over 40 years, he has served as a mathematics instructor at UT High School and for correspondence courses at The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Schilhab has experience teaching every mathematics course in eighth through twelfth grade. In addition to his current position at UTHS, he is teaching mathematics at the Austin Community College as an adjunct mathematics professor. Mr. Schilhab continues to be active in the organization, Texas Association of Supervisors of Mathematics (TASM) to keep abreast with new development in mathematics and the teaching of mathematics.
