Lisa Minck joined UTHS in September of 2022 and is excited to serve as the Special Education Coordinator. She looks forward to supporting UTHS students receiving special education and 504 supports and services. Originally from California, she attended University of San Diego undergrad and went on to receive her teaching credential from Saint Mary’s College Kalmanovitz Graduate School of Education. She has 10 years of experience in special education across all grade levels and various settings. She recently served as a special education case manager and teacher at a large high school in Austin where she was selected as 2021 Teacher of the Year, an award voted on by all students and staff. Additionally, Mrs. Minck was proud to serve as the faculty advisor for the school’s Student Council organization, and she hopes to establish a Student Council here at UTHS! Mrs. Minck loves getting to know her students and doing whatever she can to ensure their personal growth and success. Outside of work, she lives in Austin with her husband, two kids, and dog. Mrs. Minck is eager to get to know everyone within the UTHS community and be a part of this wonderful district!
