Economics, Personal Financial Literacy

Melissa Kendall earned her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.  She has been teaching Economics, Personal Financial Literacy and World History at UTHS since 2017.  Ms. Kendall began her teaching career in California, but discovered international teaching and spent years abroad teaching in the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Indonesia, and India, before returning to the United States to teach in Texas.  She has spent her career teaching Economics, AP Economics, IB Economics, IB Theory of Knowledge, Social Entrepreneurship, as well as U.S. Government and World History.  Currently, Ms. Kendall teaches IB Economics and IB Theory of Knowledge in south Florida at North Broward Preparatory School. She is also well versed in online teaching and learning and has written online courses for the University of California online high school, and the Global Online Academy. In addition to teaching, she also works as an examiner for the IB, and writes standardized test questions for an organization in Texas. She has also supervised MUN, Speech and Debate, Investment Clubs, as well as coaching high school badminton and swimming.  Ms. Kendall has a passion for teaching, and helping all students succeed.
