Barry Bacom serves as the Assistant Superintendent at UT High School Special Purpose District, where he provides strategic leadership for continuous improvement. Since joining UTHS in January 2024, he has played a key role in advancing innovative educational opportunities to students throughout Texas and the world.

Barry brings more than 25 years of experience in public education, having served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of career and technical education, director of curriculum and instruction, director of professional development, and director of state and federal programs. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives focused on school improvement, leadership development, project-based learning, alternative education, workforce readiness, and organizational transformation.

As Assistant Superintendent, he works collaboratively with district and campus leaders in support of UTHS's strategic priorities. He is passionate about servant leadership and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. He is proud to serve the students, families, and educators of UT High School and remains committed to expanding access to exceptional educational opportunities for all learners.
