Science Teacher
Cecil Shive joined UT High School in July 2026 after 8 years of teaching science at public high schools in Pflugerville and Round Rock ISDs. Before teaching, Mr. Shive worked in the biotech industry here in Austin. With a bachelor's degree in physics and industry experience, he helps ensure students gain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the sciences. Outside of teaching he enjoys spending time with his family and pets along with various ever-changing hobbies.
