Mrs. Kinsey joined the UTHS team in 2025, bringing more than a decade of secondary teaching experience in mathematics and computer science. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and a UTeach alumna, she is certified to teach both secondary mathematics and computer science. Before joining UTHS, she taught Computer Science I, AP Computer Science Principles, and AP Computer Science A, contributed to computer science curriculum development, and launched Round Rock ISD's inaugural Drone Aviation Pathway. She also coached robotics, drone, and UIL Computer Science teams, helping students extend their learning beyond the classroom. As a lifelong learner and computer science enthusiast, Mrs. Kinsey continues to expand her own knowledge through ongoing professional learning, including coursework from Harvard's CS50 program, and enjoys bringing new ideas and perspectives into her teaching. She is passionate about guiding students as they build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and create projects that showcase their growth as computer scientists. She believes every student's journey in computer science is unique and strives to create a supportive environment where curiosity, creativity, and perseverance help students grow into confident lifelong learners.
