Social Studies Learning Specialist
Nicole Child joined UT High School in 2026 as a Social Studies Learning Specialist. She has more than 16 years of experience in public, charter, and online education. She has a Masters Degree in History from Texas State University and Bachelors Degree in History from The University of Texas at Austin. She taught a variety of courses including AP World History, AP Psychology, AP Art History, AP Human Geography, and elementary visual arts. Throughout her career, Nicole has developed online and district curriculum, led professional learning communities and professional development. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, swimming, and painting.
