Lead Social Worker - Outreach and Engagement
Abby Simpson, LCSW, joined UT High School in January 2025, bringing nearly 20 years of experience as a licensed social worker in the Austin community. Ms. Simpson spent 12 years at the UT Counseling and Mental Health Center. Throughout her career, Ms. Simpson has worked with a wide array of clinical issues and developed clinical specialties in the areas of destructive perfectionism, social anxiety, general anxiety, depression, trauma-informed care, and fostering healthy relationships. She has extensive experience helping students identify and navigate social and emotional challenges that may hinder their academic success. A native Texan, Ms. Simpson fell in love with the UT community as an undergraduate student.
