Director of Federal & State Programs
Barry Bacom joined UT High School in January 2024 as the director of state & federal programs. He comes to UTHS with 23 years of experience in public education, including work as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of career & technical education, director of curriculum & instruction, and director of professional development. His areas of expertise include leadership development, project-based instruction, alternative education, and school turnaround. In his position as director of state & federal programs, he will lead the planning and implementation of various state and federal initiatives to ensure compliance and achievement of measurable goals. He will also oversee comprehensive planning processes, manage reporting requirements, and help develop policies that support high-quality programs across campuses. He is excited to have the opportunity to serve the students and families of this unique organization.
