Associate Principal, UTHS-International
Tamara Porras joined UT High School in 2022 as the International Associate Principal after serving 4 years as Coordinator of AVID and Advanced Programs in Leander ISD. In 1998, Mrs. Porras began her career in education in Alief ISD, Houston, TX. Through the years, she has served as a middle school English teacher, an Instructional Coach, a high school counselor, and an Assistant Principal. Mrs. Porras believes every learner deserves the opportunity to explore and develop their passions and receive the support they need to be successful. She enjoys spending time with her family and her three fur babies, Scrappy, Graycie, and Bandit. Mrs. Porras is a member of the Round Rock Community Choir, a diehard sports fan, and a Green Bay Packers shareholder. On the weekend you will most likely find her with her husband at a concert or sporting event.
