Science Learning Specialist
Katye Howell joined the UT High School team as a Science Learning Specialist in 2022. Prior to that, she spent a decade as an instructional coach, department chair, and educator at Travis ECHS in Austin ISD. She is passionate about developing relevant, engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that leverage technology to meet the needs of diverse learners and excited to put her skills to the test at UTHS! Ms. Howell earned a BS in Biology through the UTeach program at the University of Texas at Austin, a Masters in Science Curriculum and Instruction from UT Arlington, and is currently pursuing a Principal Certification. She enjoys spending time with her two boys, drawing, reading, playing outside, and learning new things!
