Rosario Cantu received her B.A. in Spanish and English from St. Mary’s University.  Ms. Cantu earned her M.Ed. from Schreiner University, and has completed post-graduate hours at The University of Texas at Austin, and the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. With 42 years of teaching experience in the classroom, she has taught Spanish 1 (Regular and Honors), Spanish 2 (Regular and Honors), Spanish for Spanish Speakers (levels 1 and 2), Spanish for Medical Personnel (levels 1, 2, and 3), Spanish 3 (Regular and Honors), Spanish 3 Pre-AP, Spanish 4 AP® Language, and Spanish 5 AP® Literature. Ms. Cantu served as Department Chair of Languages for the majority of the years that she was in the classroom. She has written curriculum for Spanish courses, Spanish Credit-by-Exams for Northside ISD, and contributed to a series of Spanish texts. Presently, she is an instructor of Spanish for UTHS, a freelance translator, and provides Spanish tutorials. Ms. Cantu also completes church work, and works with the elderly nuns at Our Lady of the Lake University. She enjoys family time, travel, and when in the classroom, taking high school students to Europe, Mexico, and Africa during the summer months.  Nowadays, she enjoys visiting friends and relatives throughout Europe, Mexico, and the States.
