Wendi Poteet has been a math educator for about 20 years. She received her B.S. in Mathematics Education from Northwestern State University. Mrs. Poteet loves to teach math and has a hard time understanding why math is not everyone’s favorite subject! Mrs. Poteet teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus for the University of Texas High School. She also teaches Algebra 1 and Geometry at a small school around Abilene. Mrs. Poteet loves teaching online classes for the University of Texas High School. Being an online teacher has made Mrs. Poteet a more proficient speaker of the foreign language of mathematics! It brightens her day to receive emails from students asking for help, giving an update on their progress, or a simple thank you for being there as a teacher. Mrs. Poteet is so fortunate to have the opportunity to make math a little less challenging and to help ease math anxiety because like it or not, math is everywhere!
